Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a well-established business based in Tameside to appoint a part-qualified Management Accountant to complete the weekly and monthly management reporting. The business is a large manufacturer with sites across the UK & Europe and operates as part of a wider global brand.We are looking for a Management Accountant or an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to assist the Operations Accountants with managing the P&L for a large manufacturing operation. You’ll play a key part in delivering the monthly accounts and management information required by the ops team to achieve company goals. You will ideally be AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/CIMA and be driven to become qualified. Salary and Benefits: Salary £38-40k, study support, flexible working hours, out-of-town location with parking, pension. Other benefits are available on request. What we are looking for you to do/key responsibilities: Report to the Operations Accountant on all weekly and monthly reporting matters. Prepare and submit the monthly reporting according to schedule. Monthly management accounts completed by WD3 Balance sheet reconciliations completed by WD8. Ensure all monthly SOX submissions are made by WD10. Assist with accurate reporting on manufacturing and overheads in line with weekly and monthly reporting. Ensure all budgets and forecasts are completed on time. Support the Operations Accountant with ad-hoc work. Any ad-hoc work on request. Professional qualification and competencies: 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role, experience within the manufacturing sector will be prioritised. AAT qualified or CIMA/ACCA part-qualified. Experience with assisting or running the management accounts and month end process Excellent IT skills, especially within Excel. SAP and BI experience would be desirable. Proven ability of meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail. Adaptable to change and always looking for continuous improvement.
