Position
As a Senior Full Stack Developer at State of Play Hospitality, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our company websites and web applications.
The ideal candidate will showcase expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, with a strong focus on PHP (Laravel and WordPress), ensuring the creation of seamless user experiences and visually stunning interfaces.
We are looking for a product-minded developer who not only excels in coding but also thinks critically about user needs, business goals, and the overall product vision. You will be expected to proactively contribute to product decisions, always aiming to deliver features that add value and improve the customer experience.
Reports to: The Lead Developer
Office: Chancery Lane side of Farringdon (above Bounce)
Hybrid working: High degree of flexibility but you may need to on occasion to work with the rest of the team who are office based.
Requirements and minimum Qualifications
* Proven experience in full-stack web development with PHP (Laravel/WordPress), Vue, and React (Next.js).
* Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
* Familiarity with front-end build tools (Vite, webpack) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
* Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work independently when needed.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, capable of working with stakeholders at various levels.
* Experience with CI/CD build & test pipelines
* Solid foundation in testing practices from unit testing to integration testing
* Authorised to legally work in the UK
* Must pass a reference check prior to being hired.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with design and development teams to craft engaging and responsive websites and web applications.
* Implement user interfaces using Vue.js, alpine.js, and React.js to deliver dynamic and interactive web experiences.
* Develop robust and scalable backend solutions using PHP, specifically Laravel and WordPress.
* Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
* Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into your work.
