To provide education and training to those who care for children with additional health needs within the community, including educational and residential settings, voluntary sector and families. This will be undertaken by providing information, supervision and where required assessing competence. The successful candidate will Demonstrate a high level of skill and confidence in teaching using a range of resources and teaching styles. Adapting to the setting training is being delivered in. Be the training specialist with the knowledge and skills to answer questions from other health and non- health professionals to support them in safely caring for the child or young person. Ensure that all appropriate guidelines, child specific care plans, clinic letters and competencies are in place to ensure high quality training is provided in accordance with national and local guidance. Work unsupervised, adhering to operational procedures and established practice and referring to the Childrens Training Team Lead and Service Manager for guidance when needed. Maintain a professional and confidential approach to work at all times.
