Job Description:
We are working closely with Norfolk Constabulary to assist with the appointment of a ICT End User Computing Engineer on a 13-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £17.29 - £22.20 per Hour
Summary:
The ICT End User Computing Technician will work within the Forces busy ICT End User Computing team, supporting both Norfolk and Suffolk customers. The role involves traveling across both counties to resolve faults, fulfill requests, assist with office moves, and contribute to Estates relocation projects. Additionally, the technician will conduct full audits of ICT equipment at various sites.
Responsibilities:
* Resolve ICT faults and fulfill service requests on-site
* Support office moves and Estates relocation projects
* Conduct full audits of ICT equipment across multiple locations
* Work within a Microsoft Windows environment to troubleshoot and resolve issues
* Perform advanced diagnostics for complex hardware and software problems
* Maintain and update the ICT Asset register
* Communicate effectively in a customer-focused environment
* Travel across Norfolk and Suffolk as required, using Constabulary vehicles
Qualifications:
* Qualification in an ICT discipline or equivalent experience in an IT operational environment
* Proven experience working within a Microsoft Windows environment
* Strong ability to perform advanced diagnostics for hardware and software issues
* Experience working effectively as part of a team, with the ability to work independently when required
* Knowledge of maintaining an ICT Asset register
* Excellent communication skills in a customer service setting
* Full driving license, including Category B, with the ability to travel to multiple locations across Norfolk and Suffolk
