We are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Business Partner, to support an accelerated sales and margin growth plan for a 12 month period to cover maternity leave. Reporting directly to the Head of Reporting & Insight, this is an exciting opportunity for you to join us during a period of stepped growth. We are looking for a strong, commercially minded business partner, capable of translating complex data into insightful business analysis. You will provide updates on current trading and profitability across the group, providing insights and solutions to the Senior Leadership team, including the parent company Board. Provide regular weekly trading updates to the Senior Leadership Team, providing a high level insight of key drivers Prepare, analyse and present detailed sales & margin packs to the Senior Leadership Team, highlighting product and margin opportunities and areas of risk and improvement Implement and action monthly/annual sales and margin target setting Provide retail visitor insights to support footfall and conversion improvement opportunities Analyse detailed margins to support product pricing Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to commercially support improvements in business reporting Conduct new store opening/investment appraisals, assessing minimum investment criteria Continually challenge the norm and make recommendations on how to optimise business opportunities You will build and maintain key relationships with senior stakeholders, managing expectations and develop a deep understanding of the business's commercial and operational drivers Who are we looking for? Someone with a passion to stretch boundaries and wanting to make a difference You will be a qualified finance professional with a proven track record of commercial analysis and business partnering. You possess excellent Excel and financial modelling skills and have a proven analytical approach to problem solving and acute commercial awareness. Experience of BI reporting systems would be ideal but not a deal breaker if you are comfortable working with large volumes of data. You are able to communicate and influence across the business with strong interpersonal skills The role on offer is based at our Sunderland support centre, where you will work alongside the Senior UK team. There will be some travel involved but this can usually be planned in advance. We operate a hybrid working structure, working four days in office and one day from home What's in it for you?
