Job Title: Registered Manager - Children's Service
Location: Wigan
Salary: £34k - £50k – depending on experience
Contract Type: Permanent 37 hours a week
Requirements
* Must have the right to live and work in the UK
* Must be a driver and have a UK License
* Must hold a level 5 in Leadership and Management or working towards
About the role
The Registered Manager oversees residential care to ensure high standards of care, safety, and compliance with regulations. Key responsibilities include:
* Professional Standards: Uphold professionalism, sensitivity, and respect towards all children, staff, and visitors.
* Care Quality: Ensure compliance with OFSTED standards and implement children’s care plans effectively.
* Team Development: Conduct staff training, appraisals, and supervision to maintain a skilled team.
* Policy & Compliance: Enforce and review policies on child and staff welfare, health, safety, and data protection.
* Performance & Recruitment: Manage recruitment, team performance, and disciplinary matters.
* Administration & Planning: Complete all required admin, prepare for audits, and contribute to strategic planning.
* Support & Transport: Provide out-of-hours support on a rota and use own transport for child-related needs.
This role requires leadership and a commitment to excellence in residential care.
