The client:

As they expand their portfolio, they're seeking a skilled and motivated Wind Analyst to join the team and provide vital support across the early stages of project feasibility and ongoing project development.
Our client have built an impressive pipeline of 2GW across Scotland, and this continues to grow.
Position Overview:
As a Wind Analyst, you will be instrumental in conducting wind resource assessments, providing data analysis, and supporting early-stage feasibility studies for wind energy projects. You will work closely with our project engineering team to deliver accurate, data-driven insights that influence key project decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform wind resource assessments to evaluate the viability of prospective project sites.
* Analyse wind data using industry-standard tools such as WAsP, WindPro, and GIS software.
* Assist with feasibility studies, including energy production estimates and site assessments.
* Collaborate with project engineers to optimize turbine layouts and site selection for maximum efficiency.
* Provide detailed reports and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
* Support project management teams by offering insights on project timelines, technical challenges, and risk factors.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in wind energy assessment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in renewable energy, engineering, environmental science, or a related field (a Master’s degree is a plus).
* Proven experience (2+ years) in wind resource assessment or wind energy analysis.
* Proficiency in using wind energy software such as WAsP, WindPro, and CFD modelling.
* Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
* Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting wind data, energy yield, and site assessments.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience supporting early-stage wind energy project development.
* Knowledge of environmental permitting processes and grid connection requirements.
* Understanding of turbine technology and layout optimization.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
