Undertake a variety of duties including surgery face to face and telephone consultations, queries and where applicable visiting patients at home Checking and signing repeat prescriptions, dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self referred or referred from other health care workers/organisations Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols and developing care plans for health Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards and read codes. Compiling and issuing computer generated acute and repeat prescriptions Prescribing in accordance with practice prescribing formulary, or generically whenever this is clinically appropriate Adhering to Practice polices and procedures Ensuring adherence to GDPR and confidentiality Adhering to equality and diversity GMC with no restrictions Currently on national GP register Excellent written and verbal communication skills Clear and polite manner Effective time management An advocate for the Practice Evidence of CPD Disclosure and Barring check compulsory Desirable: Knowledge of GMS contact, QOF/QAIF, Enhanced services, QI projects Experience of EMIS, WCCG and ACCURX
