"Time to make that change – to your life & the lives of others…"
An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a Team Manager in our Fylde & Wyre Family Safeguarding Team.
Family Safeguarding is a strengths-based model of social work and we have implemented it in Lancashire as part of the Strengthening Families Protecting Children Innovation Programme, with support from Hertfordshire. We seek to keep children at home with their families where it is safe to do so, the work covers children in need, child protection, pre-proceedings, Court work and adoption, and we are looking for someone who is experienced and confident in managing in these areas.
You must be strengths based and be able to support your team as we move to this approach being business as usual.
It's All about You;
1. You're passionate about making a difference to children, young people and families – we're after caring, passionate and dedicated leaders with a great track record that want to make a difference to the families we work with and we've made recent significant investments to support you doing this
2. You want flexibility and trust from your organisation – we have high expectations and delivering successful outcomes is more important to us than watching the clock so you can work from home whenever possible and flex your job/hours/location around your life
3. You want to challenge and develop your team and yourself – we're looking for someone to drive and deliver the changes that we're making whilst supporting a team of equally dedicated professionals; you'll drive excellence and motivate your team and yourself, even when faced with tough decisions and difficult choices
It's about the Role;
Location: Fleetwood
Role: Family Safeguarding
Development: succession planning, professional and academic qualifications, secondments, supportive reflection, opportunities for personal growth & development, multidisciplinary initiatives, mentoring, the opportunity to make a difference, feel valued and achieve the job satisfaction of which you've always dreamt
Inclusivity: we don't have a "one size fits all" idealism, we embrace diversity and the richness that it brings and that includes around both personal and family requirements; feel supported whenever you need
It's about Us;
Our Children's Services have transformed! Our Family Safeguarding Teams are now multidisciplinary teams including domestic abuse officers and practitioners to work with both survivors and perpetrators of domestic abuse, substances misuse workers, mental health practitioners and clinical psychologists. Our teams are working collaboratively with families, using strengths based approaches and motivational interviewing to really make a difference.
We offer a comprehensive induction, great succession plans for our team, supportive work-life balance including working from home, flexible working, & tangible wellbeing initiatives plus regular supervision and support available whenever you need it.
Our aim is to be "Good" to "Outstanding" - the changes we've made both financially & culturally are making a substantial difference to the families we support, the individuals in our teams & how we work together.
