The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced planner and will be involved in a diverse range of interesting and challenging projects across multiple sectors. Our aim is to approach planning in a way that actively understands risks and seeks opportunities for innovation so we can successfully execute a quality product on time.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Planning the project timeline throughout the pre-construction and construction phase.
* Deliver good quality programmes and logistic plans.
* Visit sites to develop construction knowledge which will provide a good understanding of build processes, sequencing and logistical requirements.

* Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety-conscious behaviours.
* Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects.
* Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects.
* Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers.
* Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan.
* Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects.
* Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget.
