Attendance Support Officer (Term-Time Only)
We are looking for two Attendance Support Officers to join our Personal Development Team.
These roles are 18.92 hours per week, part-time roles, offering a salary of £11,002 to £11,668 per annum.
1 position is part-time, permanent.
1 position is part-time, fixed term (until 31/10/2025).

Job Purpose:
We are looking for a professional and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills. In this role, you will work in partnership with curriculum teams within a designated faculty and be the interface to relevant cross-college support and welfare teams.
You will have a targeted caseload within your area of responsibility, providing specific support in relation to attendance for 16-18-year-old (and 19-24 with EHCP) students on study programmes, including attendance at English and maths sessions, working collaboratively with College Managers, Assistant Principals, Lecturers, and Parents.
You will signpost to specialist colleagues where appropriate, set targets on students' electronic individual learning plans, and report interventions actioned to your manager who will follow up on the impact of interventions within an agreed timescale to reduce levels of unauthorized absence and promote whole-college attendance strategies.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Educational qualifications to at least level 3
* English and Maths qualifications at a minimum of level 2 / GCSE (9-4 or A* to C)
* Experience of working with young people in a post-16 environment to support them in their educational journeys and personal development.
* Knowledge and understanding of a range of additional needs and their impact upon the individual's capacity to learn.
* Good working knowledge of IT systems and databases.
* Be a team player, be flexible and adaptable with excellent interpersonal skills.
