Taymouth Castle Golf and Sport Club is Discovery’s second European private members-only golf & sport community. Working across all our departments this role supports the whole team. Our Purchasing and Receiving Clerk takes charge of the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the Delivery Hub facility. Assisting with orders and deliveries, collecting invoices from suppliers and confirming the deliveries are all in order and complete. With great care you use quality control procedures checking all incoming and outgoing products against the product purchase orders (PO’s). Ensuring that each item meets compliance with our Taymouth Castle and DLC procurement policies and procedures. Organizing and storing orders safely and communicating with departments to arrange collection and at times helping with the distribution of orders.
Primarily based at our Moness Resort this is a dual role over both sites. You collaborate with other departments and stakeholders within the club operations and at other facilities within the estate to ensure as a team our members and their guests have a magical stay at their ‘home from home’ creating a memorable experience.

Joining our procurement team, you will contribute to ensuring we receive high quality products and services efficiently and cost-effectively. Your diligence, organisation skills, and initiative-taking approach will play a crucial role in our procurement success. You will take ownership and assist with the receiving and checking of items as they arrive on site, making sure they are carefully stored as well as the picking and packing of products.
Assist the team in the purchasing, and procurement of goods and services as needed by our various departments. Interacting with the suppliers on a day-to-day basis to confirm shipment dates, ensuring seamless communication. Matching delivery receipts against PO’s and manage variances with suppliers. Carefully ensuring that any invoices are delivered to accounts for payment.
Developing relationships with suppliers, including communication regarding orders, inquiries or issues with material returns or replacements, following up on any delivery discrepancies with the relevant supplier. Ensuring any malfunctions are reported to the manager/supervisor on duty immediately.
Consulting with the various departments within the club to understand their procurement needs and ensure they have what they need when they need it. Routing and organising deliveries to departments efficiently and as smoothly as possible from Delivery Hub.
Actively demonstrating a willingness to support and achieve business objectives, by being prepared to complete other tasks or duties cross the Taymouth Castle Golf & Sport Club and Moness Resort Aberfeldy as and when necessary, and when reasonably required.

An advantage would be to have previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain roles or similar. Knowledgeable about purchasing, invoicing, stock inventories; multitasking and time management skills.
Excellent communication and people skills. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. IT Literate with a good understanding of Office 365 packages. Procurement software or ERP packages an advantage, but not essential.
Initiative-taking, you take pride in the work you do and are enthusiastic about delivering the highest of standards. You exude a professional appearance, physical fitness, and stamina to perform tasks requiring heavy lifting and physical exertion as well as working at heights and operating warehouse equipment.
You can be flexible and adaptable with your approach to working hours. Well organised, punctual with a can-do attitude and an excellent eye for detail. An initiative-taking collaborator with an enthusiastic team-oriented approach.
A valid UK Driving License as you will be required to transport items to locations across the estates.
