Location: HMP Ashfield, Bristol Salary: £23,860 per annum, plus Serco benefits Working hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week / Part Time hours available Key Accountabilities Report to the Custodial Operations Manager and perform assigned duties. Work in the control room, monitor CCTV and radio systems, alert staff when alarms are raised, and complete necessary paperwork. Conduct routine net test calls and cell call checks. Work in the Gatehouse area, granting access to visitors and staff; conduct searches of vehicles and staff as required. Assist with escorting vehicles around the establishment. Allocate BWVC and be responsible for the equipment. Assist in the Command suite if required. Participate in Exercises and contingency planning. Perform other OSO related duties. Qualifications Minimum: GCSE Maths & English grade C or equivalent, good IT skills. Desirable: Knowledge of security procedures, IT literacy, good communication skills with external agencies. Experience Experience in a secure environment or similar client group (not mandatory). Skills and Abilities Organisational and analytical skills. Team player with flexibility and interpersonal skills with visitors, staff, and prisoners. Good communication skills and ability to monitor and audit processes and procedures. Report writing; numerate with interpretation and presentation of statistics. Trust and decorum when handling sensitive information. Full driving licence. Shift work including nights may be required.
