Including working to ensure customer supply targets are meet, including OTIF and customer satisfaction, ensuring best equipment and resource efficiency outcomes are delivered, work with procurement ensuring material stock levels are available and maintained against agreed targets. To review production data, ensure planning targets and timescales are being achieved. The ideal candidate would have a proven track record working with data capture and analysis from different sources. a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential. Strategy and Development Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice, processes, and procedures to aid and improve planning operational performance. Identify planning improvement opportunities within the organisation. General and Task Management Effectively and efficiently plan the production for required daily/weekly/monthly demand in line with customer expectation, meeting both quality and delivery expectations, minimise costs where possible and ensure the required best working practices are always maintained. Ensure the planning productivity level is achieved daily, challenge any plan variation or under performance. Update the production plan daily. Liaise with any commercial department ensuring customer satisfaction. Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions. Produce written reports and make presentations. Supports efficiency improvements through best planning methods. Responds to customer account management and internal sales, ensuring timely and accurate information is given to meet customer needs and expectations. Undertake continuous training and development. Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors. Relationship Management Work as part of the Management team to share ideas on planning/production, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance. Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers, and other service providers. Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change and potential effects on engineering design and development. Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimising cost. Stay current and up to date on any changes that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials and advise others of any impact. Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on manufacturing activities.
