Azure Infrastructure Engineer Permanent | Up to £50,000 Bonus Excellent benefits Overtime and Oncall available Hybrid working - 1 day per week in Billericay High growth business is looking to expand the infrastructure team to help during period of cloud transformation. You will be required to be onsite 1 day per week, which can be agreed with the team, so quite a bit of flexibility. You will be joining a small and friendly team who are busy with a number of projects, a small backlog and a significant cloud transformation agenda for the next 6-18 months (Azure). When through the small backlog, you can expect a 70/30 Project/BAU split, across a wide range of technologies. This role is responsible for the technical implementation and maintenance of services and infrastructure, encompassing both on-premise and Azure cloud environments but they are specifically looking to hire a strong Azure Cloud Infrastructure skill set. You will be responsible for provisioning, deploying, and sustaining systems to align with business needs. Specifically: Design, build and management of cloud infrastructure (Azure / IaC / Terraform). Ensuring scalability, reliability and security of infrastructure. Monitoring and maintaining the performance and availability of infrastructure including regular maintenance such as patching and updates. Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect infrastructure environment. Leading infrastructure projects from initiation to completion. On the horizon includes migration of end of life servers to the cloud, selecting and implementing a new DR solution and enhancing security posture. Reporting on infrastructure performance, incident and improvements Maintaining current on-premise servers (Windows), virtualisation (Hyper-V) and backups (Veeam). About you Essential: IaC experience is essential given the planned migration to Azure over the coming 6-12 months (Terraform ior Bicep experience ideally). Azure Certifications: EssentialAZ-104 and AZ-900, Desirable AZ-700 and AZ-305. Demonstrable experience with Azure cloud server managment, networking, app gateways and landing zones. Demonstrable Azure Management (VMs, NSG rules, Storage accounts etc) to be able to effectively contribute to the gradual migration of our environments to the cloud. The ability to create and maintain technical documentation with a good attention to detail. Desirable: Given the transformation, an earlier on-prem background with exposure to physical Servers 2012-2019 (Windows), Virtualisation (Hyper-V) and backup maintenance (Veeam) would be desirable, but not essential.
