About Us: We are looking for a Ganger with civils experience, mainly in groundworks, trial holes and streetworks. This will be a PAYE direct role, the rate is £19.04 with £2.48 holiday pay each hour worked. This can be paid each week if needed. Role Overview: As a Civils Ganger, you will lead a small team on-site, overseeing trial holes, groundworks, and other civil engineering tasks. Your role will involve ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all site activities while maintaining clear communication with the project management team. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of groundworkers and operatives. Oversee trial hole excavation and reinstatement to required standards. Ensure groundworks are completed to a high standard, meeting project specifications. Interpret and work from construction drawings and plans. Monitor site safety, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations. Coordinate materials, equipment, and resources for daily tasks. Report progress and issues to the site manager or project lead. Perform hands-on groundwork tasks when necessary.Requirements: Proven experience as a Civils Ganger or similar leadership role in groundworks. Strong knowledge of trial hole excavation and reinstatement. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in construction. CSCS card (essential). Streetworks (NRSWA) ticket (essential). SSSTS or SMSTS certification (preferred).
