DescriptionAre you a Data Architect with proven experience of producing and communicating high quality conceptual, logical and physical data architecture designs? Do you have expertise in API and file-based data integration approaches and technologies?We’re looking for a Data Architect to play a key role in guiding business and technology stakeholders through digital transformation and optimisation initiatives, ensuring the data architecture is aligned with organisational goals and drives the desired business outcomes.
What does this role do?As Data Architect, you’ll:
* provide data architecture leadership across Dogs Trust – ensuring data is secure and structured & presented in ways that enable our strategic objectives and more data driven decision making
* align data architecture solutions with the overall Dogs Trust’s strategy, architecture and data management principles in order that the data landscape enables the charity to achieve its objectives in an optimal and compliant way
* partner with Business Analysts, key stakeholders and suppliers to translate business requirements into appropriate data solutions
* create and communicate data architecture deliverables – e.g. conceptual, logical and physical data models; end to end data flows and entity relationship designs to support our emerging data strategy
* identify and support the management of data architecture risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Could this be you?To be successful in this role, you’ll have strong expertise in database design, data modelling, data mapping, data integration & data flow mapping, data governance and data visualisation, with experience of using data modelling tools, such as Erwin; ER/Sudio. You’ll have strong demonstrable experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake ODS and Data Warehouse, Informatica IICS and reporting platforms such as Tableau. You’ll also have an excellent working knowledge of data protection & security principles, as well as significant experience of producing and communicating high quality conceptual, logical and physical data architecture designs. You’ll be an excellent team player who is skilled in stakeholder management, and you’ll have experience of working within Agile project frameworks and using collaboration software (particularly the Atlassian suite) to organise, manage and track delivery.
This role is being offered as a fixed term contract basis, for a period of 23 months.
