A fantastic opportunity has become available for an IT support Technician to join the team at a well-established Northamptonshire business, reporting to the Head of IT. This new and challenging role will give the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies. We are looking for a candidate who has either already completed an advanced IT apprenticeship, has a relevant degree and 12 + months experience in a support role
Key Duties:
l The first point of contact for IT support related queries internally
l Take ownership of user problems and be pro-active when dealing with issues
l Troubleshoot and assist users face-to-face, by phone, be email or remote access
l Maintaining inventories of IT equipment including mobile phones
l Setting up new users on laptops
l Carry out necessary support and monitoring activities such as anti-virus scanning and back ups to help maintain an efficient and robust infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will ideally have some knowledge of the following:
l Microsoft Desktop and Server Products, computer networks, software installation, anti-virus and firewalls, configuration of mobile phones and tablets, network storage.
The successful candidate will need to hold a full driving licence.
