Responsibilities:
* Take full responsibility of the site during the shift in terms of management of staff, production (Intake – Despatch), quality targets, security, housekeeping, and hygiene.
* Ensure quality & food safety of products produced within the shift in line with the company’s quality systems, processes, and procedures.
* Manage, develop, and motivate direct reporting staff through coaching and scheduled 1-2-1 meetings with SMART objectives.
* Monitor, measure, and report on production-related process performance and downtime, taking ownership for downtime root cause analysis.
* Ensure good communication is provided either verbally or in writing to all members of staff.
* Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations during the shift and address all related matters.
* Utilize problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to ensure all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve issues.
* Work closely with other Shift Supervisors to ensure effective communication during production handovers.
* Ensure training skills are met for current and future demands of the shifts and that career progression is mapped out for all employees.
* Participate actively in the company’s continuous improvement plan to achieve future growth.
* Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace while managing daily/weekly cleaning regimes.
* Ensure all employees use company resources effectively to maintain optimal operating costs.
* Make appropriate decisions while following the company’s organizational structure.
* Complete daily/weekly audits and follow through on actions.
* Maintain a high level of timekeeping and attendance.
Hours:
* Weekly rotating shifts:
* 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
* 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
* Monday to Friday (reasonable flexibility and overtime may be required).
