This People Advisor role is intended as a 12-month Maternity Cover where you will work as part of the People Team to support the People Strategy and deliver HR service excellence across HQ and Operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Advisor to make a real impact in your designated people group. You will have a positive attitude and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will have strong employee relations, organisational, and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail. You will support the core People function, providing exceptional HR advice and commercially focused HR support to all employees and ensuring compliance with all company policies and employment legislation. Key Role Responsibilities: Support the Operations and HQ management team through the management of their people, guiding and upskilling them on policies and people matters. Supporting with the full range of Employee Relations activities such as investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, exit interviews, flexible working, and welfare meetings (coordinating Risk Assessments arising). Pro-active management of all family friendly processes including maternity, paternity, adoption, and parental leave requests, and dealing with queries/issues arising. Identify and nurture top talent, ensuring robust development of succession plans and career pathways in line with the Operations skills matrix and supporting with performance management processes including goal setting, feedback and reviews. Influencing and being trusted HR council to managers to ensure excellent employee experience across HQ and Operations. Assist with salary and bonus review in conjunction with the People Director. Produce, analyse and use appropriate HR people metrics reports/dashboards, highlighting any trends and areas of further investigation, in order to inform both day to day and strategic and operational planning and decision making. Work closely with the People Operations Administrator, providing advice and guidance to them on first-line HR queries, as required. Working with the wider People Team to embed the values into the organisational culture, identifying key areas of focus for cultural development in specific business areas. Generate ideas on possible approaches to impact cultural change. Supporting the wider Operations Management Team in promotion and continuous improvement of our Employee Forum including minutes of meeting and proactively addressing and supporting Managers in the resolution of points made. Take accurate and detailed meeting notes and maintain paper trails of documentation to ensure performance, audit, and knowledge share is exceptional. Oversee the processing of payroll data collated by the People Administrator. Support the wider People Team with a variety of initiatives and projects, as required. Role Competencies: CIPD Level 5 qualified or studying towards (or equivalent qualification). Previous HR Officer or Advisor level experience (or equivalent role). Have an excellent understanding of relevant employment law legislation. Previous experience in an Operational or Manufacturing environment. Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to operate and adapt at all levels of the organisation. Strong administration skills with exceptional attention to detail, data input, and ability to analyse information and maintain a high level of accuracy. Have excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills. Excellent active listening and problem-solving skills. Experience of dealing with first-line and complex employee relations case work. Ability to acknowledge and understand when to escalate matters to senior members of the People Team. Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to manage a multitude of tasks at any one time and prioritise effectively. Proficient IT skills, working with the Microsoft Office platform.
