Role Overview:
We are seeking a Materials Controller to join our client's dynamic team, reporting directly to the Stores Team Leader. This role is crucial in managing and controlling materials within the stores, ensuring smooth and efficient operations to support production.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and process incoming deliveries, verifying documentation and updating the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Maintain an accurate electronic inventory management system .
Organize and store materials to ensure easy identification and preservation of condition.
Collaborate with production teams and engineers to ensure timely availability of parts and components for project delivery.
Issue materials while maintaining full traceability.
Manage stock levels of consumables where consignment stock does not apply.
Oversee the distribution and record-keeping of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) .
Ensure tools and equipment are calibrated, maintaining accurate calibration records.
What We're Looking For:
Experience with electrical components or an electrical background .
Previous use of Microsoft Nav ERP tool is advantageous.
Experience with materials control/stores management
A proactive team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized, with a methodical approach and attention to detail.
Ability to plan ahead, coordinate, and prioritize workloads effectively.
Strong administrative and computer skills.
A professional, flexible, and adaptable mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement .
Ownership and accountability for responsibilities.
A safety-first attitude, prioritizing health and safety in all aspects of work.
Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
Friday Week 1: 08:00 - 13:30.
Friday Week 2: 08:00 - 16:30
Occasional weekend work may be required.
