Summary We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager?with construction experience?to join our internal Consultancy?team?in the?North, Midlands & East of England and Wales regions,?as?we work to deliver projects in?a more programmatic and efficient way. Your contractual location can be any of our sites within the North, Midlands & East of England and Wales regions. The role will involve working on projects?across all threee regions, therefore you’ll be required to work flexibly and should expect to spend a proportion of your working week travelling to and working?at?Trust properties regionally and?occasionally?nationwide for site visits and meetings when required. We appreciate this is a large geographical area and you will have autonomy to manage your own time and the amount of travel each week. What you'll be doing Working within the National Trust’s Project Management Framework, you will be?managing?a suite of construction?and compliance?projects across a variety of properties. The type of projects you will be working on includes (but is not limited to) fire, security and electrical compliance installations and upgrades - the majority of which are in buildings of significant historical importance. This is a client-side rather than a ‘hands on’ role, and as such it is essential that you are comfortable managing teams of designers and contractors both on site and remotely.? As the project progresses through each?stage of the project lifecycle?your?role will be?to?deliver?at?pace within funding deadlines,?to lead?engagement with stakeholders and key funding?partners,?and share and apply lessons both in your own project work and more widely. Who we're looking for experience of successfully delivering end-to-end construction projects, including defining resources, securing project teams, leading procurement and budget management across multiple workstreams/projects. M&E experience is not essential but is preferred excellent communication, problem solving and influencing skills and be confident liaising with stakeholders – both internal and external – to understand their input and communicate the project approach, being able to challenge and interpret advice of your design team and make recommendations to the governance board / Sponsor understanding of the operational impact of project work and have experience of mitigating this appropriately The package The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart.
