Founded in 1978, Clark Contracts Ltd is a privately owned main contractor with several operating divisions; Construction, Fit Out, Small Works, Retail, Housing, Maintenance and Manufactured Joinery. We employ over 220 people with offices in the East and West of Scotland.
We are now looking to recruit a Trainee Maintenance Administrator to join the organisation. The successful candidate will complete a relevant Modern Apprenticeship.
Role & Responsibilities
The successful applicant will work in our Maintenance Division, report to the Contracts Managers and will be trained in the following:
1. Logging jobs
2. Arranging and co-ordinating surveys for insurance and planned works
3. Cost control and analysis
4. Produce and submit reports to both customers and internal contacts
5. Answering and responding to telephone calls, e-mails, portal updates
6. Sourcing and purchasing of materials for insurance and planned works
7. Collation and processing of weekly paperwork from the directly employed operatives
8. Liaising with subcontractors on planned works
9. General administration of the department
Candidate
To be considered for this role candidates should
10. Have a willingness to learn
11. Be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills
12. Have strong IT Skills
13. Have excellent communication skills and be capable of multi-tasking
14. Be adaptable to change within a fast paced environment
15. Have the ability to work both as part of a team and by using their own initiative

The successful candidate will work alongside a third party training provider in order to complete their SVQ. Due to this role being a Modern Apprenticeship the relevant Apprenticeship rate will apply until successful completion.
