The role As a Safety Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll support the delivery of safety and environmental tasking and develop Submarine Support Engineering's capability. Day to day you'll support the delivery of the technical outputs where you won't be phased by changing priorities as we move to the future. This will include: Project management of safety and environmental tasking Peer reviews and technical assurance of safety and environment projects This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home. Essential experience of the Safety Engineer: Safety and environmental management principles across the marine/maritime domain including; legislative requirements, Hazard Identification and Analysis (HIA), hazard management, safety assurance across the product lifecycle, safety case management and material state assurance. Project management experience and be familiar with the delivery of technical outputs within a contractual framework. Qualifications for the Safety Engineer: Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline. IEng accredited with the Engineering Council or actively progressing application. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
