Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the Senior Account Manager will be responsible for strategically developing the relationship and managing profitability of CML Fulfilment and Logistics key accounts.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00-17.00
Some travel will be required to our CML site in Lutterworth and Customer meetings.
Key Duties of a Senior Account Manager:
* Managing the commercial relationship and development of specific key clients within the CML network, in order to retain and develop our existing customer base. Draft and agree Joint Business Plans with clients, drive activity and monitor performance on an ongoing basis.
* Develop the communication channels with existing clients, to ensure that queries are dealt with by the right department, in a timely and accurate manner.
* Build and maintain strong internal relationships with all CML departments to efficiently deal with customer queries and effectively oversee implementation of client account strategies.
* Support the Head of Commercial in contract negotiations and tenders ensuring that both operational needs and costs are met and the Client needs and expectations are supported.
* Ensure the delivery of financial KPIs in relation to volume, sales, and profit through a joint company and client business plan and collaborative forecasting.
* Work with the Platform Manager to maintain the New Business Pipeline to outline new opportunities and attract new business.
* Support and mentor the development of the CML Commercial team through collaboration, demonstrating best practices, and promoting a team ethos with demonstrable leadership qualities.
* Possess high levels of commercial awareness and an eagle eye to spot and maximize commercial opportunities and ‘lock the customer’ into CML.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience within a similar commercial role.
* Knowledge of the food industry is desirable.
* Highly organized, efficient and able to work effectively under pressure.
* Able to work using your own initiative at a senior level and as part of a team.
* Professional, approachable and helpful when communicating with clients and colleagues.
* A brilliant Relationship Builder who can represent CML to all Clients effectively.
* Efficient time management in order to meet tight deadlines.
* Analytical and Strategic.
* Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
* Strong IT and numerical literacy.
