Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Operating CNC machines to produce turbine products, following work instructions and meeting company standards
* Ensuring safe machinery setup and loading material into machines
* Understanding engineering drawings and utilising CMM readouts for various operations
* Examining machinery production output to verify its acceptability
* Performing gauging and CMM measurements of components to ensure conformity
* Maintaining and updating records about the machine's operation
* Regularly inspecting machines for mechanical and safety issues
* Working a flexible schedule to meet production demand during busy periods
Essential Skills:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* Completed a recognised full Level 3 apprenticeship, or an NVQ Level 3 or Technical certificate in a relevant engineering field
* Experience in CNC machining
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent problem-solving skills
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
* A proactive outlook towards work and a commitment to continuous improvement
* Pride in maintaining a clean work area and surroundings
Desirable Skills:
The following skills are desirable, but not essential:
* Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol, Heidenhain, or Okuma controls
