Join our fast-growing, dynamic company anywhere in Europe For our first Scotland branch, we are looking for an enthusiastic: Field Service Mechanic - Power/Generator Location: Bathgate, EH48 2HR, covering Scotland and UK Job description: You will be a skilled mechanic with an in depth experience and knowledge of generators and temporary power supply. You will be responsible for completing maintenance inspections and repairs at our fully-equipped branch location to ensure maximum availability and reliability of the rental fleet. This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday but we will require you to be available to work overtime as and when required outside of normal working hours. Your focus: Carry out mechanical servicing and faultfinding. Install / de-install our range of rental equipment focusing on generators and power support equipment but not limited to these as we also have pumps, filtration equipment and tanks in our range. Hand-over of equipment to the customer and instruct customer on correct usage. Assist in operational project preparation involving mechanical, electrical and diesel systems. Monitor parts inventory and maintain minimum stock levels. Provide guidance to other operation team members. Your profile: Strong electrical bias with mechanical (diesel and/or pump) experience. Experience in a service technician role or similar. Driving license B essential. Experience with plant or equipment hire business desirable. Able to make overnight trips. Valuable competences: proactive, service oriented, team player, flexible and independent. Good oral and written communication skills (essential) Knowledge of IT to complete work sheets and safety training.
