About the Registered Manager Role:
Salary: £40,000.00 - £47,000.00 per year* (Dependent on Qualifications)
Location: Halesowen
We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring individual to join our leadership team at our children's home based in Halesowen. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and have the leadership skills to match, we want to hear from you!
Role Overview:
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the management, leadership, and direction of our home. With support from the senior leadership team, you will:
1. Ensure the highest standards of performance.
2. Lead safeguarding matters across the home.
3. Oversee online training and supervision.
4. Offer advice and support to further develop the children's residential home.
Your primary focus will be to ensure young people have a positive childhood experience that shapes their future. You must also meet the requirements for personal registration with Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Management: Lead the home's operations and provide clear guidance to the team.
* Safeguarding: Take the operational lead for all safeguarding matters.
* Training & Supervision: Oversee online training, provide staff supervision, and support team development.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the home meets Ofsted regulations and SCCIF guidelines.
What We Are Looking For:
* Experience: Significant experience in a residential childcare setting, with previous supervisory/management experience.
* Qualifications: Although a Children, Young People & Families Manager qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, we will support you in achieving this. Supervisory/management experience is essential to meet Ofsted registration requirements.
* Knowledge: A solid understanding of Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and the challenges young people face.
* Driving License: A current UK driving license and access to a vehicle for business purposes.
