Mission:
We are looking for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join us at our Wigston site in Leicester. The successful candidate will be highly skilled and motivated, focused on continuous improvement and will be responsible for delivering effective first-class maintenance support to the 2 factories on site, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern - two day shifts followed by two night shifts.
The Role
1. To ensure that plant and equipment downtime are kept to a minimum and building upkeep is maximised through efficient response times, continuous improvements, data acquisition and analysis.
2. To carry out and complete internal maintenance projects and continuous improvement activities.
3. To effectively deal with breakdown issues, temporary/permanent repairs and modifications.
4. To carry out routine planned maintenance and monitoring along with rectifying all maintenance issues that arise during the shift.
5. Ensure engineering stock is kept up to date and at the required stock levels.
6. Adapt an ‘Always Audit Ready’ approach.
7. Manage and improve standards of Health and Safety, hygiene, quality and food safety.
Formation / Compétences
1. Competent Multi-skilled Electrical and Mechanical Engineer.
2. High levels of electrical and mechanical diagnostic/fault finding and the application of remedial work in such situations.
3. Able to demonstrate effective analytical & problem-solving skills within a FMCG or food environment.
4. BTEC/C&G or equivalent in Engineering.
5. Able to demonstrate aptitude and ability in all technical aspects of the role.
6. Self-motivated, driven and determined to deliver results on time and to budget.
7. Calm and professional demeanour who leads by example and builds relationships with key stakeholders.
8. Effective team player who is equally comfortable with being the only engineer on shift when required.
