Do you want to join an innovative and trailblazing charity retailer which has been awarded UK Charity Shop of the Year for 2024/25? Our flagship superstore in Harborne, Birmingham, Reloved Brum, is seeking to appoint a Floor Manager, who will support the Retail Area Manager and Superstore Manager through being responsible for the day-to-day operations of the shop floor.
Our charity shops raise vital funds for Birmingham Hospice. The generosity of our donors and shoppers plays a crucial role in supporting the community, helping us to provide care for local people living with a terminal diagnosis and for their families.
In this new, exciting role, you will be responsible for a range of key activities, such as visual merchandising, stock rotation and health and safety. You will supervise and coach shop staff and volunteers. You will drive and maximise sales to meet and exceed targets, ensure the shop is up to brand standards at all times. Additionally, you will be responsible for opening and closing procedures, as well as till operation, making sure that all monies are recorded, secure and banked.
You will ensure that our customers receive the highest possible standards of customer service, actively seeking to drive customer engagement and feedback to improve the services offered.

Main Duties and Responsibilities – Shop Operations
• Drive and maximise store sales, together with the team to meet and exceed targets.
• Ensure shop floor is up to brand standards at all times.
• Maintain and be responsible for high standards of visual merchandising, ensuring good stock rotation and replenishment.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure all sales are recorded at the till (POS), all monies are secure and that the till procedures are adhered to.
• Ensure banking of monies is completed daily.
• Ensure the shop is clean, tidy and hazard-free.
• Contribute to the development and use of E-Commerce for furniture sales, house clearances etc. (using Facebook Marketplace or similar).
• Promote shop and retail activities via social media.
Requirements
* You will have a good standard of education.
* You will have significant retail experience, and experience of retail management/supervision.
* You will have experience in shop merchandising and working within sales targets.
* You will be able to provide an excellent customer experience as well as deal with complaints and difficult situations.
* You will be a confident communicator and have excellent organisational skills.
