SEND Teaching Assistant Bristol, BS15 October 2024 Start Monarch Education are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant with experience working with children with autism and Social Emotional Mental Health Needs for a school in BS15. In this role you would be providing one to one support to a child within a mainstream KS1 classroom. The school is looking for someone with experience working with this age group, who has a passion for working with children with special needs, is a good communicator and team member who can work alongside the class teacher to provide support to the student. The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and strives to support its students who it says are enthusiastic learners. It emphasises the importance of teaching its pupils important life skills such as independence and communication as well as their academic curriculum. The school is easily accessed by car and public transport. Pay Rates: £ 83.33-96.72 Key responsibilities include: Providing support to class teachers and students. Adhering to school policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive engagement and learning. Collaborating with teaching staff and school leaders to support the academic and personal development of students. Requirements: Proven experience working with primary-aged students. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents. Valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate (on the update service) or willingness to obtain one.
