Connect2SocialWork are looking for a Registered Manager to take the reins at an 8 bed children's home located in Rotherham. The home provides respite care for young people with severe learning disabilities including physical disabilities, complex health care needs, and challenging behaviour.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Qualification in social work or directly relevant profession e.g. nursing, teaching
* OR NVQ Level 4 - Social Care or Caring for Children & Young People
* Management qualification
* Significant experience in services for disabled children and their families
* Minimum of 2 years in post as senior worker/deputy manager, involving all aspects of staff management and supervision and operational practice
* Knowledge of National Children's Home Regulation 2015
* Quality Care standards
* Social work/childcare legislation including child protection and safer care
* Current policy trends in disability, community care and childcare
* Enhanced DBS
WORKING HOURS:
* 37 hours per week
* On-call for Assistant Managers from time to time
* Occasional shift cover, weekend and sleep shifts should the need arise
PAY RATE:
* Up to 450 per day DOE (umbrella rate)
Connect2SocialWork is wholly owned by Kent County Council. In addition to our links with KCC, we have managed services in place with Hampshire County Council, Luton Borough Council, Surrey County Council, Dudley Metropolitan Council and Dorset Council. We also provide available work with the majority of the local authorities nationwide.
