This role offers the perfect work-life balance, with a manageable 4-day workweek, alternate weekends off, and shifts that accommodate a range of schedules. You will be cooking for 55 residents, creating nutritious and delicious meals in a supportive environment where you are valued as a key member of the team, not just a number. Key Responsibilities Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare balanced, flavorful meals for residents, accommodating individual dietary needs and preferences. Menu Planning: Develop menus that offer variety and meet the nutritional needs of our residents, while also being enjoyable and satisfying. Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean, organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations. Team Collaboration: Work closely with care staff to ensure residents' dietary requirements are met, and engage with residents to receive feedback on meals. Stock Control: Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor stock levels to minimize waste and ensure the kitchen is well-equipped. Ideal Candidate: Experience: Previous experience as a Chef or Cook, ideally in a care home or similar setting. Skills: Strong culinary skills with the ability to cater to various dietary needs, including special diets. Team Player: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a friendly and approachable attitude. Passion for Care: A genuine interest in working within a care home environment and making a positive impact on residents' daily lives.
