We are seeking a passionate and experienced Access to HE Lecturer to deliver engaging and inspiring teaching in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, and Study Skills. This role is key in preparing adult learners for university study, supporting their academic development, critical thinking, and confidence in higher education. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis, 28.8 hours per week. In return, we will offer a competitive salary of £43,319 p.a. - £44.526 p.a. inc. London Weighting, to be pro rata'd to 28.8 hpw, 0.8 FTE. The Role; You'll provide inspiration, skill and practical experience to students across our department's courses. You'll also contribute to the development of our course offer, building on our innovative provision. Key responsibilities of our Access to HE Lecturer; Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Social Work, Sociology, and Psychology. Support students in developing academic writing, research, and study skills. Act as a personal tutor, offering academic and pastoral support. Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes. Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of studentsE Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector Our ideal Access to HE Lecturer should have the following qualifications, skills and experience; Essential Requirements: A degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related discipline. A recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching Level 3 qualifications, Access to HE, FE, or adult learners. Strong digital literacy and ability to engage learners through various teaching methods. Passion for student success and progression to higher education. Desirable Requirements: Knowledge and experience of Access to HE quality assurance processes Encourage, monitor and report on the attendance, progress and achievements of students Ensure safe working environments for students and colleagues, enforce health and safety standard in your area, ensuring all students understand and comply Keep abreast of industry developments in your specialist area to ensure the relevance and continued employability of our students Actively participate in continuing professional development around theory and practice within the education sector All applicants should have good administrative skills and be able to accurately track students' attendance, progress and achievements.
