The role As a Course Planner and Scheduler, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be an essential part of a wider team to ensure the courses run efficiently and that the personnel get the training they require. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for planning and scheduling of training using various IT systems. You’ll collate different sources of information, use this to help solve issues and collaborate with sections to allow training to be carried out. Key Responsibilities Provide a Training Planning service to HMS Sultan to time and quality standards, available at the point of need to support new and changed requirements to training due to policy, branch, manpower reviews, evaluation etc Produce Long Term course plans of all Marine Engineering (ME) & Aeronautical Engineering (AE), Marine Engineering (Nuclear) & Institute of Naval Medicine (INM) career and Pre-Joining Training (PJT) courses Create information systems templates for above courses, plan, schedule and de-conflict them Input all Sultan course occurrences into IT systems JPA (Joint Personnel Administration) and TAFMIS (Training and Financial Management Information System) and keep all Sultan course data by administrating all relevant Training Planning documentation. Liaise with relevant internal and external Service organisations and Civilian agencies/companies necessary to maintain the course programmes This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Minley. Essential Experience Strong interpersonal skills including effective communication skills for interacting with the customer and Babcock senior leadership Collaboratively develops solutions by listening to others and sharing ideas and is solutions focussed.
