To understand more about what it's like to work in Pharmacy - check out this video Main duties of the job The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day provision of clinical pharmacy services to the haematology directorate. This will involve working closely with the haematology team providing specialist advice and ensuring safe and timely supply of medications to inpatients, outpatients, and the chemotherapy day unit. The specialist haematology pharmacists are key members of the multidisciplinary team, attending weekly MDT meetings as well as contributing towards teaching, guideline development and clinical audit. The post is based within out Pharmacy Technical Services team, providing support to the aseptic unit and acting as an 'Authorised Pharmacist' to ensure safe and efficient service delivery. The post holder will be an integral member of the Technical Services team, supporting with the implementation of the action plan from the Assurance of Aseptic Preparation of Medicines audit to continuously develop the service and maintain the unit's low risk rating.
