About the service
The service is based in the rural village of Cruden Bay, Aberdeenshire. We are looking to recruit a Support Practitioner offering 27 hours per week (night shift).
Your role will be to support a blind gentleman on a 1-1 basis within his own home overnight. You will provide support with all aspects of personal care and medication when required.
Although this position is mostly nightshift, you would be required to work a mixture of days and nights to ensure you are keeping your skills and knowledge up to date with the person.
Part of the role is to update and review support plans, routines, and guidance. To do this, you must be aware of all the person's needs and communication style, which can only fully be understood by working a mixture of shift patterns.
In addition, you will be required as part of the role to carry out cleaning, meal preparation, and organizing items needed for activities for the upcoming day.
