About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive performing arts teacher to teach the classroom promote learning. In this role, you will work closely with students to ensure they stay engaged with the curriculum throughout the term and provide additional support to help them achieve their academic and personal goals. You will collaborate with teachers and staff to deliver a high-quality education and create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging lessons in areas such as acting, dance, music, or other performing arts disciplines. Teach foundational skills, techniques, and theories related to the specific art forms. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs, skills, and learning styles of students. Plan and organize lessons, practice schedules, rehearsals, and performances. Adapt the curriculum to integrate new trends, technologies, or methodologies in performing arts education. Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment conducive to learning. Assess student progress through formal and informal assessments, such as performances, written assignments, and practical demonstrations. To be eligible for this role, you MUST: Demonstrate the right to work in the United Kingdom. Possess QTS, QTLS, or have recognised teaching experience, entitling you to teach in the United Kingdom. Possess strong behavioural and classroom management skills. Have relevant experience in the course subject. Be flexible and adaptable, willing and able to think on your feet. Demonstrate patience, empathy, composure, and diligence; to help with building and maintaining an optimal and safe learning environment for vulnerable pupils. Possess a recent, enhanced copy of a DBS – or be willing to obtain one from Principal Education. Possess an overseas police clearance from any country that you have resided in for six months or more within the last five years, outside of the United Kingdom. Be based in Essex, or within a commutable distance. As is a permanent role a successful candidate is likely to be paid to scale.
