As a Multiskilled Maintenance Technician Mechanical or Electrical Apprentice you will join the Estates team in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and assist in the provision of a wide range of services across a hospital setting. While you will have an Electrical focus in your role you will be training to be able to respond to tasks within Electrical and Mechanical services.
Positions will be based at one of the locations:
* Gartnavel General Hospital/Stobhill Hospital (some work at each)
* Vale of Leven Hospital
* Dykebar Hospital/Leverndale Hospital (some work at each)

Entry Requirements:
Applications are considered on a competitive basis which means not all candidates who meet the entry criteria will be guaranteed an interview.
In order to be considered for interview your Application Form MUST clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
* Five National 5’s at Grade A to C, three of which must be Maths, English and a Science or Technical Subject (or Standard Grades 1 and 2 OR Intermediate 2 A to C)
OR
* a Pre-Apprenticeship Programme in a corresponding discipline
AND
* Fully complete the application form
AND
* Satisfy the age requirement for an apprenticeship post: Modern Apprenticeships are only open to applicants who will be aged 16 to 24 years (or 16 to 29 years for Disabled Applicants or applicants who are care experienced*) on 1st August 2025, in line with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Widening Access to Employment Strategy and workforce projections.
