As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide vital support to a child on a 1:1 basis, ensuring they can fully engage with the curriculum and make progress in their learning. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a Key Stage 1 pupil, assisting with their learning and development. Help the pupil access the curriculum and stay on task during lessons. Support the child with additional needs, including SEN (Special Educational Needs). Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Assist with the pupil’s social and emotional development. Communicate regularly with the class teacher and other staff to monitor progress and adapt support strategies as needed. The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in Key Stage 1. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children. Experience supporting children with additional needs, including SEN. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
