We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Band 7 Physiotherapists to join the Stroke Team at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells Trust. The Trust is delighted that the Maidstone Hospital has been chosen as one of the sites for a Hyper acute Stroke Unit in the Kent and Medway Sustainability Transformation in 2020/21, and the post holders will be integral to this exciting and transformative service. We are based in the heart of Kent and with easy links from London and the Kent coast.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has come up on the stroke unit physiotherapy team. This B7 role would be responsible for supervising B4 therapy assistants, B5's and B6's under the supervision of a band 8a clinical specialist.
We would support your development through training and experiential learning opportunities with Band 8a and peer support.
The service would welcome an innovative and passionate neuro physiotherapist with a keen eye for quality improvement and evidence-based care.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
2. HPC State Registered Physiotherapist
3. Specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate accredited supplementary courses eg. Basic Bobath course, (1 MSc module.)
4. Evidence of working towards/at the level needed to obtain an MSc qualification
5. Commitment to advance clinical and professional development
Desirable criteria
6. Member of a Professional Body, (CSP)
7. Member of a Specialist Interest Group
8. Accredited Clinical Educator
Experience
Essential criteria
9. Significant post graduate experience, including working at a senior level within Neurology
10. Previous experience of team management responsibility including managing junior staff & student supervision/education
11. Supervisory experience
Desirable criteria
12. Experience/formal training in splinting and specialist seating
13. Experience of running/ providing telerehabilitation to patients
14. Experience of working in the community
Knowledge
Essential criteria
15. Awareness/experience in clinical audits and research
16. Evidence of CPD at Master’s level
17. Evidence of team management responsibilities
18. Understanding of role of physiotherapy within current evolving health environment
