At MIB our people are passionate about making roads safer by getting uninsured and hit-and-run drivers off our roads. Working in partnership with the Police, Insurers and Government our collective aim is to make it a thing of the past but, until that’s accomplished, we’re here to compensate victims quickly, fairly and compassionately.
Last year we helped more than 42,000 people struck by uninsured and hit-and-run drivers and paid over £400 million in compensation to support victims rebuild their lives.
As a Data Support Assistant, you will manage and process data requests from MIB for MID & CUE, ensuring data is held within the GDPR data retentions, keeping requestors aware of the status of their work requests whilst seeking ways to optimise overall service to customers.
Responsibilities
* Answering customer telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
* Monitoring customer data requests submitted via email and post
* Logging customer requests as tickets in a clear, concise and professional manner, ensuring all the necessary details are accurately captured
* Progress referrals within the agreed timescales
* Completing tasks as required for ISO compliance
* Adhering to Data Protection Legislation
* Identifying and reporting any potential breaches of security
* Assisting Data Support Officers with daily tasks
* Providing support to the Service Support Assistants
* Addressing and dealing with other administrative tasks as management may reasonably direct
Qualifications and Education
Skills and Knowledge
* Concise and accurate written and verbal communication skills
* Professional and confident telephone manner
* Proven delivery of excellent customer service
* Ability to scrutinise own work
* Knowledge of legislations within the remit of the job role, i.e., GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

Salary: £28,200 per annum
Grade: 8
Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Start-up allowance: £320 (before tax)
Working arrangement: Hybrid working (2 days in the office per week) from our Milton Keynes office, MK14
