MECHANICAL FITTER (BLOWERS)

The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for the assembly of Blowers to the required specifications, standards and expectations of the client.
For this role you will need to have experience and knowledge of working with different materials of construction (mild/carbo/stainless/aluminium/nonferrous). An understanding and experience in the specifications, standards and expectations of supplying equipment within the petrochemical industry is desirable.
Experience in a similar role is essential whilst having a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship would be an advantage.
The main duties of the role are:
· Assembly of mechanical fabrications using basic hand, electric and pneumatic tools.
· The building of blower units to specification and approved drawings.
· Preparation of components for shot blasting and paint.
· Assembly and complete hydro testing of blowers and components.
· Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures.
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

· Workshop (38 hours per week):
Monday to Thursday - 07.30 to 16.00
Friday - 07.30 to 13.30
