Job overview
The post holder will provide efficient and effective clerical and reception service for the Sexual Health & HIV Service under the guidance/supervision of the administrator and the Clerical team.
Main duties of the job
* Reception duties of meet and greet patients and register patients electronically, answering telephone queries and booking appointments.
* Coding negative results and inputting onto electronic system.
* Ensure all results including pathology/ultrasound are inputted and filed.
* Managing referrals into the system.
* Preparing and retrieving case notes.
* Booking interpreters if needed face to face.
* Ordering stationery and non-catalogue orders via IPROC.
* Handle confidential material, maintaining confidentiality in conjunction with Data Protection.
* Other duties appropriate to grade delegated by senior staff.
Person specification
QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
* English and Math GCSE grade 9-2 (A*-E) or equivalent or high level of literacy and numeracy skills demonstrated within application.
* Willing to undertake further development/training.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE
* Experience of working in a healthcare setting.
* Knowledge of software packages such as Word and Excel.
* Experience of working in a busy office environment.
* Experience of admin/reception working in an NHS environment.
COMMUNICATION AND RELATIONSHIPS
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
