Due to strategic expansion, an opportunity has now arisen for an Engineering Team Leader to join them and take ownership of the leadership of a dynamic team; responsible for New Product Development (NPD). In your new role as Engineering Team Leader, the key responsibilities are as follows:
Leading the New Product Development (NPD) team.
Sustaining engineering activities in a fast-paced component MRO business.
Driving the development, repair and overhaul of aerospace and industrial components.
Ensuring projects meet quality, cost and schedule requirements.
Innovating and improving repair processes.
Managing the introduction of new products.
Ensuring the long-term reliability of existing product lines.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality and supply chain, to ensure seamless execution of engineering tasks from concept to delivery.
My client is looking for someone with a minimum of seven years experience in an engineering position; ideally within an MRO or aerospace environment. You will have already developed expertise in the line management of a team and ideally have hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulic and mechanical aircraft components and assemblies. Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis and failure investigations using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys and FMEA is also highly desirable.
Regardless of previous expertise, you will possess good organisational and communication skills and be able to build effective working relationships with people at all levels.
In return, my client is offering a competitive salary and benefits package, with overtime being paid at a time and a half, Monday Saturday, and double-pay on a Sunday.
