The service you will work in….
Act as HR partner to managers in a specified client group, enabling the delivery of the highest level of service quality to our service users through our people. Play an instrumental role in the transformation of Hestia services in line with the five-year strategy, including taking a lead role on any reward related activity.
A day in this role looks like….
As a HR Business Partner at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our HR Team.Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.
A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:
Partner with aligned client groups to deliver Hestia's strategic and operational goals and support the delivery of the HR five-year strategy
Advise aligned client groups on organisational change, including restructures, TUPE activity and new service implementation
To coach and develop line managers to role model the organisation values and promote diversity
Liaise with the Learning and Development Manager to support and promote Hestia's annual In-house Learning and Development portfolio into services
Become a Diversity & Inclusion champion
Review diversity & inclusion policy, process and procedures updating these
Act as a ‘Champion' for Diversity & Inclusion and participate in Hestia's Diversity & Inclusion groups and initiatives.
Drive and guide the organisation in achieving success in their Disability Confident Employer journey
Develop a Manager's guide to Disabilities and reasonable adjustments in the workplace.
Support with Equality Impact Assessment as part of policy review and project development
In collaboration with the HR Officer, promote HR services through the deliver of HR Management induction and Quarterly newsletter.
Identification and implementation of opportunities for change and review of the HR team internal communications and promotion of our services.
Support with the development of the HR intranet pages to ensure this provides employees with relevant information and guidance about all things people related
Actively participate with Hestia's colleague consultative forum and support with the development, growth and success of this project/initiative.
Ad hoc related projects, as required
Provide specialist advice and guidance to the HR team and to managers within Hestia on all aspects of HR policy, practice and employee relations, discussing with, or referring matters to, the Director as required
Ensure high-quality delivery of HR services within Hestia which include dealing with employee relations issues such as capability, ill-health, grievances, and harassment/bullying
Keep abreast of changes in legislation and contribute to the development and implementation of any new or revision to Hestia HR strategy as required
Work with other members of the HR and Communications and Engagement team to ensure that the services which are provided comply with the law
Use data to assess the quality of delivery against targets and organisational process requirements (i.e. appraisal completion) for aligned client groups and inform the training needs of managers
Provide timely and accurate transactional HR/payroll data to the HR service centre for all employee related processes, e.g. TUPE transfer, due diligence and restructuring activity
To ensure that all electronic and manual personnel records are kept appropriately and reviewed as required by legislation and Hestia policy
Prepare reports to the HR Director as and when required and contribute to organisational reporting such as Charity commission reports Other
To take on other reasonable tasks and functions as the organisation develops and as requested by the Director - Human Resources.

Experience as an HR business partner in fast paced, change orientated environment
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Excellent knowledge of employment law
Significant experience and knowledge of TUPE, restructuring, change consultation

Numerate
Excellent written English
IT literacy
Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately
