Food Digital Continuous Improvement Manager
In a nutshell:
As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery and management of continuous improvement change across our Food Digital operating model; Groceries Online (GOL), OnDemand Food to Order and Fleet. You will help to deliver growth and efficiencies across Food digital whilst also ensuring it supports customers and colleagues.
You will help by bringing creative thinking along with a challenger mind-set to seek improved ways of working.
What you need to do:
• Be a resilient, creative, and challenger thinker seeking out both simplistic and more complex opportunities to improve our business process and routines, across food digital operating models.
• Build and manage a backlog of 1+ year horizon continuous improvement opportunities for improving customer, colleague and profit outcomes through store closeness and other internal and external influences.
• Design and develop ideas and gain stakeholders approval through strong communication skills.
• Plan and deliver implementation of approved projects from the backlog at pace to achieve right first time delivery and sustained application.
• Manage any 3rd party supplier, procurement or tech delivery activity required to achieve the outcomes of the project.
• Actively monitor performance of changes post implementation and capture feedback and metrics from a Post Investment Review which you will manage.
• Capture, reflect and communicate learnings to support improved success in future change.
• Demonstrate strong multi-level listening and communication (written & verbal) skills, telling a compelling, coherent, and logical story to support your thinking.
• Work with the Transformation team to align plans to maximise positive impact.
• Be able to prioritise and risk manage cross functional projects, with confidence in dealing with ambiguity demonstrating a structured, autonomous and data driven approach.
What you need to know and show:
• Delivering both excellence in Operational Development and Change Management, you will adapt to problems and challenges, providing solutions as required.
• Business Project and Change Management skills - demonstrate a predominantly Lean but also Six Sigma continuous improvement mindset.
• Confident in all forms of engagement whether verbal or written and excellent at influencing and coaching skills in order to land proposals successfully.
• Be a self-motivated, self-starting member of the team, with the ability to build great relationships and manage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactivity, anticipate risks and focus on the right priorities with the ability to react to evolving situations at pace, re-evaluating plans as required.
• Clear personal development needs and goals, with an understanding of support required to grow skills and valued behaviours.
• Display a confident, credible, and engaging presentation style with the ability to translate complex problems into simple solutions at all levels.
• Role model customer and colleague closeness and utilising this closeness to be really effective in this role when making decisions and new ideas
What decisions I can make:
• Approach to project inception, with appropriate ways of working
• Advise and influence cross functional teams and stakeholders
• Plan and prioritise own workload alongside development of the ongoing team strategy.
• Writing final recommendation papers to support timely decision making.
