Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £50,000 to £64,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a £90m heavy civil engineering project in Cambridge. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will quickly become an integral part of the team, developing junior surveyors and managing a number of large packages across the project.
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
Contract administration (NEC)
Cost management duties including cost planning, budgeting and forecasting
Manage the procurement process by preparing tender documents, managing subcontractor negotiations and contract agreements
Prepare/agree interim valuations and process payment applications from subcontractors
Identify, analyze and mitigate financial and contractual risks
Provide the commercial leadership team with detailed financial reports showing cost-to-complete forecasts, cash flow analysis and project performance
Provide guidance and support to junior staff

Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have a minimum of 5 years in quantity surveying with a focus on civil engineering, infrastructure, rail or utilities projects. You'll need a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
