Job Duties:
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons to primary school students in a Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH) setting
Assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback and support as needed
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the individual needs of students with SEMH
Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for students
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance
Required Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs, particularly in SEMH settings
Strong understanding of the UK primary education curriculum
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience as a primary teacher in an SEMH setting
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of effective teaching strategies for students with SEMH
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
Strong behaviour management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
Training in mental health support for children
