Job Description
Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a Buyer to work at our customer's site in Derby on a 6-month contract basis.
* Job title: Buyer
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Defining and executing a new specific Supply Chain Strategy.
* Collaborating to understand requirements and Supplier challenges to later define and execute a new Supply Chain Strategy.
* Implementing and agreeing new Terms and Conditions and Framework agreements to standardise across the Group's inherited Supply Chain and Submarine’s specific newly onboarded Suppliers.
* Collaborating with other Buyers and the Service Delivery Leads to assist in standardising Contract Management across the Service Estate and implementing Service Delivery Operational Management Meetings, including ensuring contractual SLA’s are measurable and enforceable.
* Negotiating new Service Descriptions and an ‘Evergreen’ operating model with our selected current incumbent Suppliers' contracts.
My Profile
Qualifications and Experience:
* BA degree or equivalent or significant industry experience.
* Ideally MCIPs qualified or equivalent.
* Has a proven track record of delivering results.
* Knowledge of Defence Contracts.
* Working closely with Suppliers to build strategic relationships with experience dealing with and managing escalations between Stakeholders and Suppliers.
* Experience in contract management and a proven track record with negotiating as well as running a tender process end to end.
Security Clearance
This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
